My Top Movies

So for this blog post we’re going to talk about my top favorite movies that I can watch over and over again and not be super tired of them. We all have those movies that are our go to movies that we watch when we can’t find anything else on tv and we’re hesitant to start that new show. These are my guilty pleasures. Most of these movies are on Netflix for your viewing pleasure.

1. Vampire Academy

This movie is my guilty pleasure. I read all of the book, which are AMAZING by the way, and so it only made sense that I would watch the movie. I was super excited about this movie, so excited that I saw it in theaters and then once it came out on DVD I bought it and I never do that haha. A lot of people criticised the movie saying that it wasn’t well written and that the actors were rubbish and what not and the low ratings didn’t help matters. Which is why the producers or whoever decided not to go forward with the other books in the series. But its just one of those movies that you either love it or you hate it and I just happen to love it. This movie is available on Netflix the last time I checked.

2. Fast & Furious 1-8

Except number 3 but we don’t talk about that. Just kidding, I liked the third movie however, I just felt that it was in the wrong place in the series. If you know anything about these movies you know that a character dies in the third movie and then magically reappears in several of the next movies, which is really confusing for viewers. However thats my only complaint about these movies. I love the story and the twists and turns. And as this series has grown and evolved it has only gotten better in my opinion. The latest movie The Fate of the Furious is in theaters now if you’d like to go check it out!

3. O Brother, Where Art Thou?

This is an older movie that brings me back to my childhood. When I was a kid spending summers at my dad’s, who lived in Galveston at the time. Days spent at the beach, at his jobs, with friends, and night spent watching this movie and watching my dad brew beer and cook dinner. He didn’t have a lot of channels on his cable but he had movies and this was our favorite. This is a movie about three escaped convicts in the 1930’s that are searching for a hidden treasure while a lawman relentlessly pursues them. This movie is cute and I recently rewatched it and fell in love with this all over again. This movie is available awn Netflix for your viewing pleasure.

4. Hush

This is one of the best psychological thriller movies i’ve seen in a while. It kept me guessing until the end of the movie. I was literally on the edge of my seat. I don’t want to go too much into this movie because I don’t want to give anything away but here is the synopsis from Netflix (where it’s available). A deaf writer retreated into the woods for a life in silence when a masked killer appears in her window. I can’t rave enough about this movie. N(my husband) usually doesn’t like my tastes in movies and he loved this movie as well. So that just goes to show how good this movie really is.

These are the movies that are my go to’s. I genuinely love all these movies and I wouldn’t recommend them if I didn’t. These are my own opinions and no this post is not sponsored by Netflix, only in my dreams haha. Netflix is just the subscription service that I used. I hope this post helps you find some new movies you’ll like.

-Signing off for now this is Simply Life by Symone. ❤️❤️

  1. I was looking forward for the Fast Furious 8 film but after looking at the trailer it made the film look a bit idiotic. Definitely love Hush though!
